The land where east meets west, Turkey is the bridge between Europe and Asia. A land of forests, rivers and mountains. The fertile hills and valleys to the west are areas of rich farmland, where although most of the rivers dry up during the country's hot, dry summers, the springtime torrents produced by the melting snows in the eastern mountains, flood the coastal plains.

Anatoliaís resources placed it at the crossroads of history, that was why it became a religious centre for Persians, Byzantines, Ottomans, Romans, Greeks  and Christians.
